The most important thing when installing this kit is to make sure the side markers are completely clean around the edges since this is a full coverage overlay. The side markers are extremely easy to remove if you want to take the extra time... just reach under the bumper and there's a plastic clip facing the front of the car. Push on it and the marker will pop right out.

Choosing a Shade

  • Light Smoke - ~48% VLT - Subtle and aggressive smoke shade perfect for all lights including headlights. Most popular for headlights.
  • Mid Smoke - ~24% VLT - Original lens color will be much darker but through when not lit. Use only on headlights with powerful HIDs, LEDs, or secondary lighting.
  • Dark Smoke - 12% VLT - Lenses will appear black when not lit. Gives a "murdered out" appearance. Will significantly impact headlight output.
  • VLT - Visible Light Transmission - The amount of light that will pass through. Many new types of vehicle lighting are so bright that even with the tint they are much brighter than traditional bulbs and lighting technologies.
  • Carbon, Metal, Stealth - The 3D textures of these finishes will scatter headlights and reduce their effectiveness.
  • **WARNING** If your vehicle has halogen bulbs or glass lenses ensure the where the light impacts the lens does not reach 195F or the tint will burn.

2021 Challenger Widebody Side Marker Tint - Star Power

The Star Power "sparkles" look fantastic against the Sinamon Stick paint of my new Challenger. I was somewhat apprehensive about being able to apply the front tint to the widebody, but it was cut perfectly for the contours of the marker, went on without any drama, and covered everything. The rear markers were a complete breeze to apply. We also did the rear reflectors with Star Power and the inner taillights with the honeycomb. All tints were easy to apply and look great. I had seen some other comments about struggles to identify which pre-cut vinyl pieces went in each location (since they were not marked) but, with some patient investigation, it was relatively easy to determine the proper location for each.

Not the best for widebody Challengers.

The product is great, and I give them all due praise... except for widebody Challengers. Trying to get the tint to form with the bent/creased style of the front side markers is a pain. I wish I had more than one extra strip to try again. Not sure if getting that to fit is that hard, or if I'm just an inexperienced simpleton. I made it mostly work. It's not 100% perfect like the rear markers, but it's good enough for now. I wish someone made a direct replacement with tinted plastic for widebodies, so I wouldn't have to resort to vinyl overlay.
