2015+ Dodge Challenger Tail Band Stripe / Scat Pack QP Decal

Ok let me explain the two star thing! This has nothing to do with the product its self what so ever! Three day prior to installing my Tail band stripe I had my car professionally ceramic coated an no matter how hard I tried I could not get the decal to bond! I was so excited to get the decal for my challenger an give it that old school look but sometimes things don't work as planned. I have the two side panels left an maybe some day ( after the ceramic coat wears off a bit in like a few years) I can order the kit again an give it another shot. Luxe makes the best product on the market! I know this from experience. I am not giving them any negative feedback! I love what these guys are producing. The only thing is that I might put something in the disclosure about not bonding on a vehicle that has been recently ceramic coated.

Kind of a two person job

I originally bought this stripe from a competitor and wasnt happy with the size or the cut. The LUXE stripe is a bit wider like the OEM stripe and it fits perfectly with the body lines on the sides and the spoiler whether you have the standard spoiler or the New elongated spoiler. The install video is very good. The top section was a breeze to put on. However the side pieces were more of a challenge. The vertical sections of the side pieces are easy, its the very top portion of the side stripes where you have the 2 or 3 different directions the decal needs to go that are seemingly more difficult to do than the video shows. They do highlight that section in the video and warn you its not easy but an experienced person makes it look easy. Take your time and do very small swipes/cuts with the applicator and TAKE YOUR TIME. I used too big a motion and kept having to pull the decal up and ended up creasing it. The more I tried the longer the crease got and and couldn't salvage it to make it perfect. Its not 100% and you cant see the problem unless you are right up at the bumper but I will prob order another side piece to try again in spring. When I did the other side I did a far better job. If you've worked with this material before and have some experience applying it, you should do better. I have little to no experience but still did 90% of it well. Regardless, the stripe looks fantastic and fits perfectly.
